卢建英，苏绣名家，生于刺绣之乡--镇湖的一个刺绣世家,从小看着奶奶和母亲每天绣着一幅幅美丽的画绣,常常被这传统的手工艺术所深深吸引。八、九岁便在读书之余时开始跟着奶奶学些基本针法,四、五年下来运针已非常灵活,十三岁便跟随母亲童金媛学绣动物,很欣慰的是，当时母亲在镇湖是个心灵手巧,技艺远近闻名的绣女,很多乡女都慕名而来，师从母亲学刺绣。母亲善长绣动物,她绣的猫狗栩栩如生,非常逼真,行话叫活毛套,它的绣法需要灵活结合，穿插运用施针、接针、乱针等多种针法。绣过姿态各异的动物不计其数,以双面、异色、异样为主。卢建英很快能就独立完成第一号刺绣功课：《猫头》，十五岁时应著名国家大师李娥瑛之邀去苏州刺绣博物馆绣龙袍，多年来深得老师指点，感受颇多。1995年拜刺绣研究所设计室主任、工艺大师施仁先生为师，习得绘画技法。

苏绣，是苏州地区刺绣产品的总称，为江苏省苏州市民间传统美术。苏绣起源于苏州，是四大名绣之一，国家级非物质文化遗产之一。 

苏绣发源地在苏州吴县一带，现已遍衍无锡、常州等地。刺绣与养蚕，缫丝分不开，所以刺绣，又称丝绣。清代确立了“苏绣、湘绣、粤绣、蜀绣”为中国四大名绣。清代是苏绣的全盛时期，真可谓流派繁衍，名手竞秀。苏绣具有图案秀丽、构思巧妙、绣工细致、针法活泼、色彩清雅的独特风格，地方特色浓郁。苏绣以苏州刺绣研究所的高新区的镇湖镇（现改为街道）刺绣最为有名。镇湖是苏绣的主要发源地，苏绣中的八成产品来自镇湖。

2006年5月20日，苏绣经中华人民共和国国务院批准列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录，遗产编号为Ⅶ-18。

Suzhou embroidery, which is the general name of embroidery products in Suzhou area, is the traditional folk art of Suzhou city, Jiangsu Province. Su Embroidery originated in Suzhou and is one of the four famous embroideries and one of the national intangible cultural heritages.

Suzhou embroidery originated in Wu County, Suzhou, and has been developed in Wuxi, Changzhou and other places. Embroidery and silkworm rearing, silk reeling is inseparable, so embroidery, also known as silk embroidery. In the Qing Dynasty, "Suzhou Embroidery, Hunan Embroidery, Guangdong Embroidery and Shu Embroidery" were established as the four famous embroideries in China. Suzhou embroidery has a unique style of beautiful pattern, clever conception, meticulous embroidery, lively stitching and elegant color, and strong local characteristics. Su embroidery is the most famous for the town of town lake (now changed to the street in the high-tech zone) of Suzhou Embroidery Research Institute. Zhenhis the main birthplace of Suzhou embroidery, and 80% of its products come from Zhenh.

On May 20,2006, Su Embroidery was approved by The State Council of the People's Republic of China to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list, and the heritage number is-18.

2014年11月荣获首届中国（苏州）民间艺术博览会上，刺绣（清代郎世宁犬-金翅猃）获金奖；

2014年金凤凰创作产品设计大奖赛中，苏绣精细绣-仿宋代刘松年(罗汉轴)在49届全国工艺品、旅游纪念品暨家居用品交易会上获得金凤凰创新产品设计大赛金奖；

2014年第十届中国（深圳）国际文化产业博览交易会冬季工艺美术精品展中国工艺美术百花奖苏绣创作的(任伯年群仙祝寿图)获银奖；

2016年中国（苏州）启迪.苏艺杯国际工艺美术精品博览会上仿古精细刺绣捣练图获-金奖；

2017年唐寅吹箫是女获全国工艺美术 苏艺杯银奖；
